This ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") is a PDF editing application for macOS designed to process your documents entirely on your device.

We respect your privacy. The App does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share your personal information. Your documents remain on your device at all times, and we never have access to them.

This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App.

PDF Editor does not collect or receive any of the following:

The App does not contain analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any tracking technologies.

Information Processed Locally on Your Device

To provide its features, the App processes certain information entirely on your device. None of this information is transmitted to us or any third party.

Documents

When you import, edit, annotate, sign, merge, split, compress, watermark, encrypt, or otherwise modify a PDF, all processing occurs locally on your device.

Your files are stored only within the App's local storage unless you choose to export or share them.

Photos and Files

If you choose to insert an image or import a document, the system provides the file picker.

The App can access only the files or photos that you explicitly select. It does not scan your photo library or browse your device's storage.

App Preferences

Settings such as:

Theme (Light/Dark Mode)
Other application preferences

are stored locally on your device.

Device Information

The App may read information such as:

App version
Device language

solely for displaying information inside the App or improving compatibility. This information is never transmitted to us.

Password-Protected PDFs

PDF Editor allows you to encrypt PDFs using AES-256 encryption.

Your password:

Never leaves your device
Is never transmitted to us
Is never stored by us

Passwords exist only in your device's memory while encrypting or decrypting a document.

If you forget a password that you created, we cannot recover it.

Purchases and Subscriptions

If you purchase a Pro subscription, all payments are processed securely by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive or store:

Credit card information
Debit card information
Billing details
Payment credentials

Apple may provide us with confirmation that a purchase or subscription is active so premium features can be unlocked. This confirmation does not include your payment information.

Information Provided by Apple

Although the App itself collects no personal information, Apple may provide us with limited aggregated and anonymous App Store statistics, including:

Number of downloads
Device types
macOS versions
App versions
Geographic regions

If you have enabled Share With App Developers on your device, Apple may also provide anonymous crash reports and diagnostic information.

This information:

Comes from Apple, not from the App
Does not identify you personally
Is controlled by Apple's privacy settings

How We Use Information

Because we do not collect personal information, we do not use it for:

Profiling
Selling data
Personalized tracking

Any anonymous statistics provided by Apple are used only to:

The App does not integrate any third-party advertising or analytics services.

The only third-party platform involved in distributing and processing purchases is Apple through the App Store.

Data Retention

Since your documents remain on your device:

Files remain stored until you delete them.
App settings remain stored locally.
You may delete individual files at any time.
Removing the App deletes its local data from your device.

Because we do not store personal information on servers, there is no server-side data for us to delete.

Security

Your documents remain protected by your device's built-in security features, including:

App sandboxing
Your Mac login password
Touch ID (on supported Macs)

Password-protected PDFs are encrypted locally using AES-256 encryption.

While no security system can guarantee absolute protection, processing documents entirely on your device significantly reduces privacy risks.

Children's Privacy

PDF Editor is not directed toward children under the age of 13, or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction.

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA may provide certain rights regarding personal information.

Because we do not collect or store your personal data, these rights are generally fulfilled through your complete control over the information stored on your own device.
